Airshocks vs Airbags on 2007 Dodge Ram 1500

What is your driving style: Towing & daily driving

Question:
Can I purchase an air shock such as a Monroe for my 2007 Dodge Ram 1500 quad cab 4X4. I want the flexibility of increasing the height and or load capacity when needed but really am not looking at altering the suspension as in a lift kit. The air shocks I have had in the past worked well however I did not see them on your site. What I did see was an airbag kit, is this comparable to airshocks? I am planning on a trip in late May or early June therefore I am looking to buy and install before my trip.
Answer:
There are currently not any airshocks designed for your truck, but we do have an Airlift airspring kit for the 07 Ram 1500. The airlift kit is an airbag that can be inflated just like an airshock to give you more support when you need it but can be deflated when the truck is empty so that it doesn't make the rear unecessarily stiff, like an add-a-leaf would. Because the airlift airspring kit works alongside your shocks and springs, it is a better choice than an airshock because your shocks are able to do their job, which is dampening, rather than being forced to support the truck.
